December OEX Vision Trip
Just yesterday, I got word from our students arriving back at LAX. Throughout November, with the leadership of one of our student, John Rotman, we were able to send a cohort of students over to our Partnership City in East Asia (OEX). Currently, we have 8 Cal Poly students on Stint in East Asia. Last week, we sent four current Cal Poly students over for a visit called a Vision Trip. The goal of this trip is for our students to gain vision and heart for this area of the world, serve to encourage our current Stint Team, as well as give lift to the ongoing ministry. As I spoke with our return Vision Trip students last night, they were glowing with excitement and enthusiasm for the mission. They were able to present the Christmas Story to two packed lecture halls full of East Asian students. As they shared the true meaning of Christmas, our students and Stinters clearly communicated the gospel to over 225 east Asian students. With the help of the lecture follow-up comment cards, they saw that 17 students indicated decisions to trust Christ. Amazing! Since we launced a ministry on this new campus 6 months ago, there have been over 65 decision for Christ through the labor of the Cal Poly Stint Team and the Vision Trip students. So cool!
