Four weeks ago, we were blessed to be a part of sending out teams of students to go all over the world for the summer. Some of the places included Kazahkstan, East Asia, Japan, Australia, and other locations that we are unable to disclose. It was a sweet time of prepping the teams. Some of the things we focus on with the teams are: identifying the different emotional experiences of overseas life, team dynamics, handling conflict in heatlhy ways, as well as ministry strategy and vision for the summer.

It is so cool to see these waves of students taking off. I liken it to a scene from Top Gun, where all the jets are being fueled up and prepared for their aircraft carrier takeoff. Can you see it? Waves of jets taking off because they are on a mission. This summer we sent out over 250 students from our region for a summer overseas.

The students are all fired up to not only proclaim the gospel to the world, but to live out Kingdom life with their teams amongst the nations they go to. It is one thing for the nations to hear the Good News of Christ, but to also see it lived out makes the message more potent.

Stay tuned for updates on the summer missions. Allison and I will be down south in Orange County welcoming them all home and walking through the Debriefs. Pray for us as we prepare the material and schedule for those times.
