His Kingdom Come...

Happy New Year to you all! The New Year always presents new opportunities, new adventures and new twists and turns in life. For some of us, we look back on 2005 and wonder where it all went. How about you? Well, for Allison and I, the close of the year provided a chance to look back and ponder how we saw God move in and amongst us. It was an incredible year of personal growth, blessing, trials, and excitement. And now we look into the new year. It is a fresh start for us to ponder how we will live our lives. It is a chance to look into ourselves and consider how we will invest in this new year. Our prayer is that we become more efficient Kingdom builders. My hope is that we will live our lives in light of eternity, and not for the next ten, twenty, or thirty years. There is too much at stake for us to be content on working the next forty years so we can have a nice ten or so of retirement. Our prayer is that we do not rest, but press on. God's Kingdom and His glory will go forth. It is not a question of that. The question is whether we will choose to join him. So, as we minsiter here on the Central Coast and develop disciples to go to the world, we do not wish to simply ask, "Lord, what is your will for our lives?" No, that is so short sighted. What we wish to ask is, "Lord, how can we give of our lives to contribute to your glorious Will?" God's plan is to redeem the world to him, so his name and glory will be known. Our desire is to be right in the midst of that. God's will may not be the safest place to be, but it is the best. Join us this year as we commit it to him and Kingdom building.
